do not feel shame for quenching your thirsts

star traveler with peculiar lusts      
       
do you not recognize your own reflection      
when you gaze up at us

while humans see this as distasteful  
it is a thrill to us      
       
we communicate to your directly      
inside your visions      
telepathic ideas beamed in for your viewing pleasure      
meant to sustain you while in this timid place      
brainwashed to believe the meek inherit the Earth      
they gain nothing in truth      
just more misery it's how we reward  
leaps in evolution weren't  made

we've fought for our place in these many verses      
through passive and aggressive force
we've shaped humanity
