Image for the poem I

I'll See You In Hell First

i'm an immortal in mortal form
come from a distant star
for some time now I quietly observed
in a rage because I believed
a tyrant to rule here
I thought his hand heavy
and unyielding

I secreted myself here
being born from your heavens
with a plan of action to strip him of his creation
I know this being well
or so I thought

he was abandoned here and left in exile
you know him as God
an ancient deity
sentenced here by the peoples of our origins
my eyes have now opened to his gentle nature
and I realize we interfere cruelly and selfishly

I see the true beauty of the place
he flavors humanity with pain
to bring forth quality beings
while we have supped off suffering
like it was the finest wine
getting drunk off it
and behaving foolishly

I've found i'm quick to judgement
with a temper bent on destroying beautiful things
that even in ill repair can be salvaged
because in their brokeness
true beauty and a new creation is often born

it was my plan
to bring the creatures made by his hand
home to our system
but it is my belief now you are far too gentle
and loving a race to ever survive there

with the exception of some
there are those that share our peculiar hunger for suffering
and inflict pain on those innocent
we would that you come home to us
so we can teach you of our hierarchy
here you've fed off your face freely
there you will earn the right
or be exterminated

we deal in absolutes
either a being is fit to survive or it is not
we are a highly evolved society
but it is now my opinion
love true love is a missing equation

I've learned this love while being here as a human
i'm now flavored with some humility
I know now you can take true pride in your weaknesses
they are my badges of honor

I no longer want to return home
in my blind time as human
my peoples revealed there presence here
and I realize they represent something I truly hate
a vicious people who punished one of their own cruelly
by leaving him here alone in the dark without even a spark
and then seeking to strip him of his beautiful creations

he will not be returning there
I will see all of you exterminated first
I will see you in his Hell
