Yeah, looks like you got my point. I don't mind some subtle erotics here and there, matter of taste for sure.... I just find it interesting how much attention just the word "sex" generates. It doesn't take much to get Pavlov's dog to salivate, even if there is no substance to the matter.

The poem comes across to me as one that has you thinking about sex in varying degrees.

Interesting how you interpret this. I like to say that meaning is in the eye of the beholder.
As far as what inspired me....I give you a few hints:
There is a "painting" by Rauschenberg, called "Blank Canvass". It's just a canvass painted white....nothing on it...it's empty. That is the title of the poem. It's also the head of the female shape, made up of the word sex, obsessively repeated. Then I ask if it is enough, but obviously more sex is required.
This is not a self reflective piece.
Check out the authors note, it is part of the meaning here.
Maybe that gives you the gist of what this means to me. Other than that....you make your own meaning.
