Common Ground

Where is the common ground I say    
   
How can we always be this way    
   
You see your side I see mine    
   
That way we will argue All the time    
   
The media, they love to keep  this strife    
   
They like it as a way of life    
   
They make us feel , it’s them or us    
   
Do not agree, do not discuss    
   
They sell their time for lots of dollars    
   
With talking heads, that they call scholars    
   
Make sure to keep the public mad    
   
They will not know that they’ve been had    
   
For good news does not have a place    
   
When talking to the left/right base    
   
"Let’s not sit down and understand    
   
The basic humanity at hand "  :(
   
Truly listen from your heart and mind    
   
Turn off the news, and you will find    
   
For I did this here is what I found    
   
Less hate and fear and more common ground   :)
