Calm Down!

     
     
New house      
People to meet      
Neighbours      
     
Though I don't really care      
for a friend list      
of people      
who know more      
about my life      
and      
the things that keep me busy      
than my Pshycologist      
     
I noticed      
the local tea party committee      
Worked them out      
So I do the      
trip from car      
to indoors      
after work      
in olympic record time      
Locking doors      
to be safe      
secure from the noses      
on the plastic faces      
     
The woman next door      
is preparing to leave her husband      
She's on a mission      
ladies planning an exit      
practice perfect      
     
New hair colours      
(and they're wild)      
Clothing that instructs you      
to notice her      
without a polite word      
Keeps peering in my kitchen window      
when she walks past      
with that      
second hand      
look on her face      
     
I feel like screaming      
"Hey!      
notice the dude, living in your      
kitchen, looking after your kids      
while you do the alcohol      
and sex on a Thursday evening;  
I'm taken    
Leave me alone, dammit!"      
     
But then, she's proberly      
figuring      
he's to busy cooking dinner      
to notice      
the nails      
and
pale necked
ring finger
