Ever Darker
Ever Darker
I can feel the Sun going down
My life it is getting ever darker
Time for me to get out my chisel
Time to make my final marker
I hear the grave beckoning me closer
It wants me to come crawl in
I try my best to try and fight it
I know that in the end it will win
Every time I take three steps forward
I always get pushed four steps back
Mornings my heart gets broken to pieces
Time to put it inside a burial sack
She breaks it without even knowing
Yet I still cannot help but hang around
So I just keep crawling ever closer
I keep heading toward ever darker ground
