Image for the poem You Shine

You Shine

I don't mean to whine
It's hard to define
I cannot confine
It's nothing benign
maturing like wine
yet not by design
I must redefine
I feel more than fine
I cannot decline
I call your hot line
I build you a shrine
On my heart I sign
that you will be mine
and I will be thine
our hearts now entwine
as I realign
to you I incline
I feel your love shine
a love so divine
we two now combine

Authors Note: I have just invented a new poem form - It's called a Night Bluebird - it has strict rules:

The end rhyme must remain constant
The poem must be exactly 20 lines long
Each line must only contain exactly 5 syllables
Any subject matter or genre

Good luck to anyone that likes a challenge
