She was a Lover

How dare he! Am I so bad?
All the nights on the phone, all the words that were said
The time spent sharing and holding my hand
She was not upset, only hurt from her toes to her head by a silly ole man!
Her body was shaking with misery and sadness
She would never have expected how ugly he could be
Her heart was ripped out and so numb
Some people are not meant for love
She could definitely understand that
But cruelty? Insults? Meanness?
She was a lover not a fighter
Time would heal her wounds
She was a good woman sent to him from God above
He had never known true love
But now she was gone, cast aside
Never to return and she would abide
She was in control of her world
Power and strength were hers
She would get up, dust herself off and continue on her way
He had no hold on her heart
Something he did not want , did not have part
She felt sorry for him, she had loved him
He was miserable and alone
Now that love was gone
She would take this as a lesson from now on
She was a lover not a fighter
Judge her as he may but she could hold her head high
She was the one that he would miss, Good bye!
