Experience

I was thinking
it's about time
I wrote a love
poem
spend ages
contemplating
cogitating
even trying
meditation
trying to understand
the complexities
of a partnership
of equals
I spent
thirty years
trying to write
a love poem
it was too
hard to write
form my position
of doormat
gave up trying
almost
gave up living
then there was
you
I then tried
to write a  
love poem
about her
beauty,
her love
and her light
but then she
helped me see
it is better to
live it than write  
about it not to
miss the Beauty
of the experience
she teaches me  
so much
