Endings & Beginnings
love won’t be told what to do
it does as it pleases
no, it’s not blind
just shuts it’s eyes
refuses to see
like heroin
it rushes through the veins
makes you higher than a kite
then drops you to the ground
love can heal scars
have you in a fairytale world
once reality hits
it leaves you broken up
left with cuts
you’ll ask yourself
where has love gone?
at the bottom of the ocean
drowning in nostalgia
screaming
it just wasn’t meant to be
endings could be a beginning
life has beauty if you see it
for whatever reason love left
just let it be
for your own self worth
whatever it could have been
maybe they were chasing status
money
or just wasn’t feeling it
say fuck it
you are worth better
believe that
love is not easy
most won’t win that race
but when you find the one
all your problems fade
you will feel at peace
no longer helpless
don’t waste your time
shaping yourself around someone else’s dream
especially when you already are
someone’s dream

Beautiful poem Ladykilla. I really like the sentiment that your worth is not defined by love and and relationships and if it doesn’t work out you will be okay.
