Encompassed

There's an innate compass;  
a beacon, homing device
beckoning Lovers to self    
 
Despite distant lifetimes  
or mis-directed millenniums
a magnetic needle prevails
 
pulls the vibrational match  
solidly unto itself, locks  
the contract in place  
 
before the north-south
axis shifts, a tiny tipping  
of evident homecoming;  
 
a becalming fragility amid
their organic existence
dissipates any-and-all disbelief
