Exposed Sinew

Here I stand-
Before kneeling in the sand-
Skin peeled back from hands-
As they embed themselves,
I feel nothing-

I've lost my nerve-
Can't help feeling what's deserved-
Sitting back on heels,
just to observe-
I am unwanting-

The sun touches my face-
It burns my eyes,
My stare in place-
Radiant without a trace-
Tears come out dry-

Regretful I am not-
For my heart holds in alot-
Bleeding all as if were shot-
This honest beach,
In where I lie-

Prison cellular walls of thought-
The brain of all I got-
Not to have,
only for lost-
Never to die-

Here I'll stay and rot-
This open world,
Of my trapped box-
As the sand blazes white hot-
My hands are tied-
