Love these! I think the problem with the human perception of freedom is that for one to be free, they invariably curb someone else's freedom in the process. Sending so many hugs  :)

Indeed---at what price...freedom??!! Seems as if it's continuously demanding it's dues...in one form, or another! And how fascinating certain aspects of its concept truly are--especially with regards to perception/interpretation!

David, each of these are compelling little pieces...full of your keen insight and wisdom! And together, as a whole, they leave a potent impact!

...And for some reason, when i finished reading these, this line from a song on the soundtrack, from the movie "Watchmen", popped into my head : "Freedom's just another word, for nothin' left to lose, and Nothin' aint worth nothin'.....but it's free..." ** (Wellll.... maybe that's another way to consider freedom....)
