Storms
Sometimes things get too bleak
the Sun shies away
and the light turns its back.
The vague placid nature
gains unnatural vigour
as eyebrows crease
with tectonic gravitas
where thunder is the face
and lightning bolts are the gaze.
And woe betide
any who encounter that wrathful tide
in its elemental fury.
Before time triumphs once more
and blows the baleforce away.

as eyebrows crease
with tectonic gravitas
