siren's song

your rose honeyed vines
entwined with morose sighs
& lifted my burdens

gentle undertones
undulated & flowed into mine

in the ocean of reverie
i lost myself in your gaze
& i felt my ache fade

in a dream state
i saw a vision of you & i
running in a field of wildflowers
then to fall into each other's embrace

you held me & sang poetry to me
adorning my hair with daisy chains
my beautiful willow of the forest
who dances on the wind

your whispers beckon
& i come to greet you in the sun
out of the shadows
you call me

no matter how far i travel
in darkness peril
you light my way home
my siren of hope
