(i) Sleep
such a sleepy puss
slumbers comfy in his fur
the cats in the cradle
(ii) No
says no to hard drugs
kitty is high on cat nip
a mellow feline
(iii) Holiday
hotel for pussies
Vacationing kitty catz
the Ritz cattery
(iv) Singer
a meower of songs
warmly furry folk ballad
he’s my Cat, Stevens
(v) Hot Pussy
pussy is too warm
a cat on a hot tin roof
she retreats inside
(vi) Clean
mucky Tiddles cat
gives herself a tongue bath
wish I could do that
(vii) Meow!
fireside comfort nap
that rug in front of the fire
is not a rug - "Meow!"

David....i simply adore your these Kitty Haiku! As i have mentioned, with your previous Cat Haiku, you have a way of depicting these feline scenarios with such realism, and the way you weave your wonderful humor within them, create pieces that are a delight to read!

Of you remove the second a and alter tenses to warmly to compensate for the syllable, you would also capitalize on the consonance of l.
fireside comfort
that rug in front of the fire
is not a rug - "Meow!"
You'd lose a "the" in L2 with "that", and also enhance the consonance of 't' throughout.
I particularly enjoyed the references in each, e.g. - cats in the cradle, Cat, Stevens,
cat on a hot tin roof. Very clever, David. Your imagination is boundless.
