The Unveiling
Wide eyed men may look at you
And know that you are beautiful
Yet they are blind
For they see only with their eyes
They see beauty only where it lies
Vision can't reveal love to me
For I let my heart lead the way
And I can see
Deeper than two hundred miles away
And hear it in every word you say
The world seems too dark sometimes
But you cast my shadows away
Open your eyes
And see that I can open your heart
Beyond the painting hides a work of art
Fools would put you on display
Or keep you safely tucked away
But no, not I
In my heart neither one may be applied
Open yours wide and let my love inside
And know that you are beautiful
Yet they are blind
For they see only with their eyes
They see beauty only where it lies
Vision can't reveal love to me
For I let my heart lead the way
And I can see
Deeper than two hundred miles away
And hear it in every word you say
The world seems too dark sometimes
But you cast my shadows away
Open your eyes
And see that I can open your heart
Beyond the painting hides a work of art
Fools would put you on display
Or keep you safely tucked away
But no, not I
In my heart neither one may be applied
Open yours wide and let my love inside
