May December Romance
When the chill ceases its power
Give in to the warmth to awaken the life on earth
Rare people know they just had a vigorous romance
May and December
Spring and winter
The perfect duo of divergence
Make lovely stories for us to remember
Ah, how can I forget the echo of love?
Dissonant intervals are always notable
As if Julie and Michael
Their dissonance is especially noticeable
When they appear
The gossip is clear
How they make a discordant couple
With the drastic difference of age
He is mistaken for her grandfather
She is 25 and he is more than 64
Definitely May and December
You might well say so
While he is the twilight of his life
She remains in her turbulent youth
No wonder people doubt
Is it that a fauxmance comes to life?
I believe that
Although 40 years older is his Achilles’ heel
His decency, wide knowledge and humor
Deserve a fair lady to admire
In such a way their platinum love goes
She adores him, warts and all
Including his smile wrinkles
For he always knows
Women are worthy of pampering
And the solace of true companionship
Variety’s the very spice of life
They give it all its flavor
So true! The echo of love saying:
They are divergent, and yet
Divergence produces its fragrance
I am wondering and lost in thoughts
Maybe, oh maybe
I should find
