Torrential Rain
It downpours
Extremely hard, and
Even goes wilder and wilder
As if, it is crying for
Losing its lover
Floods swept, so
A little girl got flushed
Her grandparents shouted for help
Luckily, she was saved
The soldier who rescued her, asked
Why he was sad
He sobbed, and
Showed his broken heart
Buses drove into the rivers
They were once asphalt roads
Passengers said
The buses were like subs
One taxi driver was so blessed
Even though his car was drowned, and
Soaked in the river road
Work or not work
Delayed to announce
The city mayor got cursed
By the furious public
For the worsened rainfall
Stranded many people
Bridges, cut
Roads, broken
Schools, closed
Businesses, shut
Flights, cancelled
Travelers, trapped
Airports, suspended
Railways, inundated
Residents, evacuated
People beg for mercy
Hope the earth won’t get crazy
And their homes won’t be messy
For not being too late, please
To cease the deadly downpours
And their accomplices
Floods
Extremely hard, and
Even goes wilder and wilder
As if, it is crying for
Losing its lover
Floods swept, so
A little girl got flushed
Her grandparents shouted for help

I've been caught in some bad weather, but I'm surest doesn't compare to the horror of
what you've described here... I pray this isn't anywhere near you, I'd be deeply sad
to hear of you suffering my friend...

My dear friend, everything is so close but I am fine. Those worst things happened in the northern coast. Hope they are fine.

I have once traveled in the North wilderness
the lightening was so frightening
non stop rain
and
we continued to drive not a tree in sight
the only possible target was perhaps our vehicle
I told the driver
not to stop
the wheels had rubber tyres
hence we were safer moving
as lightening was threatening
it was the biggest/longest
drive in my life
miles and miles
but we beat the lightening
it rained heavens on earth

Re: Re. Torrential Rain
Wow! Such a thrilling experience you had! You should put it into a good piece. It would be super nice. Interesting to hear that it rained heavens instead of cats and dogs. The torrential rain here has already stopped. Everything is being recovered, and our life seems to back to normal. Thank you for sharing your story with me. Hope to see your new piece with it.

It's a nightmarish dreamscape so beautifully described - you certainly have a way with words :-)

'wilder & wilder,' storms can never be tamed;
tragic depictions in your poem, you made it complete...

Thank you so much for visiting me and sharing your thoughts. Right, "storms can never be tamed", the only way is to protect ourselves. Glad to have your nice comment. RoseJasmine
