Gods among men, in their own eyes .
Choosing what’s best for  
Woman and man,  
Boy and girl..
Assuming they can.

But whose plan is best,
Working for all the rest;
All of the people in all of the world
The women and men; boys and girls.
Diplomacy is
Quickly dismissed.
Might makes right;
The law of the fists.

The missiles deployed,
The armed forces employed.
Massive destruction is felt everywhere.
Under the bombs bursting in air.
Great cities in ruins.
So many dead.
Those who aren’t
Wish they were instead.
