What impresses me about Buk
is not the raunch he is known for
or even his defiance,
though his defiance does float my boat
for the working man
What impresses me
was his need to write
Everyday
He wrote thousands and thousands
of poems
It was his internal mission
I love that about this man
This poet
All the the noise about his content
Should be about his desire
Truly Spectacular

I confess I'm guilty of the need to write daily too. If I had his skills I'd be spreading them all over the pages. Out of respect for my fellow writers here, you only have to endure a very select few. I like this one a lot.

it's real nice to see poems here regarding Bukowski;
