Waiting a Rebirth

He strode fearless
yet left his mantle
hanging at the fireplace
he left never to return

It was the terror of being left
in a swirling pool of confusion
monsters salivating with unfathomable
wish to create chaos
their snouts covered in foams
bellowing their bleats of rage
that pushed the bud of mercy
to seek the imp for help
to lead her away
to the bright land of paddy fields
and blue mountains where her spirit lives

puck in his knavish way
taunted foolish souls
that sought paradise
in the confines of a well
shouting their angst
into deaf ears
scribbling their words
senseless as they may be
on matte cave walls
in the end his torch
burnt his hands
flinging it down he burnt the  mountains

she travelled tired and hungry
dusts on her feet ashes on her head
to await a rebirth at the sacred hills
mists covered the mountains
drizzles from the blue sunny skies
accompanied her journey.
