The more time you spend on it
I was not a challenge
I gave you the love you wanted
But the favor was never returned
I don't believe in love anymore
Because of you

Perhaps, you were to easy !? It sounds like you treated him like dirt by not respecting his choice, to be with her.
I can't understand how you could do that whilst uttering love in the same breath ?!
That's NOT love, that's bitter and twisted, driven by jealousy. Sighs. I hope you're able to discern that much, at the very least.
When the right one appears, you won't ever have to second guess his intentions because he'll be upfront and honest with you.
