A Biker

You shifted in your seat;
the smell of leather and beer
as you turn to look at me
I stand above you on a platform
looking down; I remember you...

We were here before and that lives on somehow,
we are all still here; all the dark and lonely souls...
I see the remembrance in your eyes in your upward gaze...
Your smile seems knowing as I turn in slow motion;
do you already know me?

I feel you scan me;
I'm all the love you never had...
Bikers have the best heart,
even the aspiring ones...
We are all aspiring and I am seemingly there
in the ecstatic place with you
where the seams of truth dissolve...

We are allowed to be here by the
brotherhood to seek our desires;
is it God?  The still air holds them nicely
as the enticing musk of our trying;
it echoes like wind in your ears...
Black hair to match your clothes and
earnest eyes that shine like glass...

I know you already, your dreams called to me
your fantasies beckoned; I rose up to catch them
floating like dust in a neon glow...
I can merge with you in this moment, your fantasy is mine;
I can meet you there in the corners of your mind,
and in a dark corner of this place where dusty
dreams have settled and a cold draft wraps the
wall I can touch your rugged hide and your body
underneath; you can lead me down to your place
where the damned ones go...
I can release you there; I can soften the scars,
yet not replace teeth...
But like me, imagine them there; that my world is yours,
that I feel your injustice and live inside it with you...

Take me on your ride into the night;
leave with me wrapped around you, but return...
For I am always to remain here in this fray glowing
angelic and I reside here whenever you need me;
I believe in you; and support your struggles
and your ongoing efforts to discern
dark from light...
