SOME FLOWERS (11-30-16, Cathedral City 'COVE', California)
some flowers
dont go
away when
winter comes
they hang
around
through months
of cold
remaining open
they endure
yielding only
for the
life giving
love
of delicately
trilling
humingbirds
tongues
the tender
tickling
buzzing touch
of sweet
pollen ease
pollen
kneed bees
to help
them survive
through each
winters freeze
remaining
open
to receive
as much
deep
penetrative
touch
to help
them survive
their own
until new
spring flowers
come along
to bloom
once more
again
this magical
cycle
of sacred
intimacy
continues
to wondrously
unfold
throughout each
passing
season come
and gone
all year
long
winter spring
summer fall
against
mankinds
self destructive
odds
forever
it seems
at endless
war
against nature
relentless
in his
greed
for more
intentionally
killing
his mother
destroying
his only
one true
home
with no
remorse
nor shame
at all
so sadly
is this
where weve
evolved to
as a
so called
higher species
after all
this fucking
historically
wasted
meaningless
time
surely
if so
mankind
does not
deserve
to survive
at all
anymore
we need
to surrender
let it
all go
give it
all back
to creation
back to
the humingbirds
the bees
and flowers
the sun
the moon
and stars
minus man
of course
the great
destroyer
of worlds
but the only
problem
with that is
mankind
seldom
if ever
falls alone
though
it hardly
seems fair
at all
in the greater
scheme
of things
i mean
seriously now
really
does
it
