-stranger then myself
words bereft of meaning form incomplete sentences
while I ponder where I learned to lie to myself
and if my heart were universal, that is to say
if it were both a beginning and end of something
more than my eyes see, what other parts of me
hide memories beyond my own cognitive experiences
I'm told I should look inward for the answers
but who would take advice from a stranger anyway...
"the word then in the title is not a grammatical error in that, I meant to use it."

Feel like you're having a bit of an inner fight, I like how you dismiss the idea that the answers within yourself, I don't take myself seriously either :p but really interesting write

I don't dismiss the idea that the answers are within myself, because they are, but rather, I still find it difficult to trust the answers I find sometimes. Disbelief in my gut feeling is something I need to work on...

I like the use of the word "then". It provides an interesting contrast to the typical 'than' - it also refers to time more so than tangible comparison - and that in and of itself is intriguing. Learning to trust our gut instinct is one of the last difficult lessons we learn, I believe. It saves us many heartaches along the way.

My problem is I trust it and then later I get conflicting feelings where my gut says the opposite. I don't know if it's my Overthinking. ..
Yes, listen to the stranger first then myself...

Your resolve is going to be challenged when you believe in something. That's part of the test of Spiritual evolution. Stand firm, my friend.

Searching for answers within is certainly important ... but, we may not always receive the answers we want ...
1
Re: Re. -stranger then myself
Not finding the answers we want happens often and most of us usually ignore it, because our ego is offended and throws a tantrum. .. :)

Such a great title, and I suppose the phrase, 'never talk to strangers,' still applies.
We just need to get to know ourselves a little better...

Fenom!!!
crushing and debasing, oh my gawds,
i used to do this until it got to the point I
was merely half dead/half living- gurgling in
my own angelic angered blood...literally
So my question is: when will we ever learn to
except the harshness of our realities VS the
succour roots of it?
nothing in this life is that worthy if our souls are
jeopardised continuously, i speak because of
sacrificing myself more than a few
I JUST FELL OUT OF MY SEAT

Re: Re. -stranger then myself
The root of our realities is within us. We usually lie to ourselves, because ego tells us our heart is wrong, when it rarely is. And even knowing this it can still difficult to believe... It take's time to get to know yourself...
