Crash and Burn-ing Love
Shattered glass glistens on the curvy dark road.
You were on your way, to your humble abode.
The metal casket you ride in is crushed like a tin can.
Why weren't you in a seatbelt, that wasn't a good plan.
Your glasses lay unscathed in a grassy ditch, yet you are scratched and beaten.
I'm so sick with worry, I haven't even eaten.
I hear about it from a phone call, the deer ran away unharmed.
You swerved and rolled your truck, because you were alarmed.
You lie in a hospital bed, hurt, but your still here.
Yet there are still more tests to do, your not completely in the clear.
Your head is badly hurt, but you smile through the pain.
I sit helplessly miles away, I can't wait to be in your arms again.
I don't know what I'd do without you, I love you so much it aches.
So please pull through this baby, or my burning heart breaks.
