The Blue Ridge

What a beautiful photo, did you take it yourself? Such an amazingly worded verse to accompany the photo and I feel compelled to go there,to sit upon the top of the largest stone and gaze down on the earth....

Everyone needs to experience the Blue Ridge at least once in their lives. Spring is beautiful, but Autumn is divine. I hope you have the opportunity some day.

all I know is the old laurel and hardy song -

You've captured this scene so beautifully in both words and image. I am so ready to immerse myself in a colorful Autumn amid crisp air but alas such things are not offered in Texas. Brava!

Oh ouch. I must say, however, I do love the southwest, having lived in New Mexico. I hope you have the opportunity to visit the Blue Ridge one day. It's magnificent.

Leaves leave and stone breaks - startling imagery and very fine write

I love the change of the leaves (a true sign of fall). Unfortunately we do not get much of that in CA, but I did go to college on the East Coast in MD and it was quite lovely. This piece makes me want to go back to that. Thanks for bringing such nostalgia and the picture is quite lovely as well.

There is nothing like the crisp beauty of autumn ...

I love the broad shoulders, jutting chins and passive muted faces of mountains I have seen at a distance. So high and far that the air between stains them a shadow of powder blue.
