Image for the poem ~silent song~

~silent song~

brittle thoughts
inked out on bone china

so delicate a whisper
barely audible
to the human soul
silently I sing my song

hidden are the mysteries
from a mind that searches
eyes that have gone gray
glazed over and now blind

I reach to you for answers
you pull away
for self preservation

the spirits are stirred
a whirlwind of discontent

my wilted petals
tossed into the eye of the storm
with hopes to bring a sweet aroma
lingers on the wind my tender incantation
can you feel me as I enter on quiet feet?

peacefully and prosperously
no ill intent in mind

let me gently caress
your weary soul
as I cradle you in my bosom

my candle lit for you
should you come in the night

I heed the warnings
of the powers that be
don't trouble the waters lovely soul
be calm and be well
