Image for the poem paranoid thoughts

paranoid thoughts

I approach like a quiet storm
with power I come
knowing full well
with one word I can cut or bring peace

Territorial disputes ever present
fallen angels on my mind
their squabbling over people and places
think of the drug cartel times one hundred
then you would understand this war

I ride the net but I wonder what's riding me?

Paranoid thoughts
such things clash in my brain
bring me to my knees

Need a safe passage to enter
though I wonder is it insanity?
or simply a higher sense of conscious

With trepidation I travel
hear them whisper be well
with their dark sardonic voice
a not so veiled threat
curdles my blood

I will not bow though
fuck them and their war
I'm not a pawn to be shuffled about
i'll cross enemy lines
leave my mark on minds
that are eager to see and hear

The fallen but shadows to me
an insane flicker on the horizon
until I snuff them out
crush the head of the snakes
that slither in my garden
