Beauty of the empty space
.
Between the veil and the floor mat
where she remains with pale limbs akimbo,
the empty spaces, reminders of
leaves at the moment of their release
when they whisper their death poems to me.

Yes you Jade!
You've floored Al. This is haunting in it's delivery and solice. It's dauntingly beautiful in it's form and message and it is definately a favourite of mine.
Your imagery is breathtaking.
I can go on and on and on...
Love at you and your wonderful poem

it's a sterling image, each leaf reciting a brief farewell poem
as they descend, where they form oneliness,
then loneliness...
as they descend, where they form oneliness,
then loneliness...

Five very haunting lines and impressive art from you Jade. I wish I had the talent to supply my own visuals. I have to scavenge Google for as close to the right pic as I can find. Excellent poem and art with the personal touch,

Re: Re. Beauty of the empty space
Oh my, apologies for the lag in my reply, friend crowfly! My iPhone battery keeps dying out so I'm on the computer. I am in the hands of the Fates, but I shall give you my response now without fail!
First off, I can't thank you enough for the support and embrace of my craft that you always gift me with. Next, I tend to have a slight advantage when it comes to adding art of my own to some of my work because that's what I started out being before I wrote poetry: a "trad" artist. Then, I taught myself how to use a computer's mouse to draw/paint on something like MSPaint, practicing for years to improve and get to know that dinosaur of an application till I could make it "sing"... provided I was a good artist to begin with. And last but not least: I still scrounge the Internet as well to find what my meager skill cannot reproduce in my own way.
With my (always) appreciation for you taking the time to come visit, to read, and to comment. Your company is always enjoyed.
