- - - TORTURED, POETICALLY - - -
I find myself crawling into the grave
Like a lost soul seeking hope in despair
I wish I could sleep restful like angels
But instead I live this lasting nightmare
If only just to find
A single ray of light
That wouldn't burn my eyes
But, so, I am denied
I've already said goodbye
At home with phantoms when shadows grow deep
Their relentless screams, they deny me dreams
Absent of pain and a miserable life
When reality is not what it seems
If ever there was time
Just to call this life mine
I couldn't face the crime
Never know what you'll find
I've already said goodbye
Words never fail
To toll the bell
Doom approaches
I'm already
In Hell
Poetically tortured with blank pages
This goddamned quill seems to feast on my veins
There is a grim storm on the horizon
Bringing no calmness but only the pain
If only just to find
A single ray of light
That wouldn't burn my eyes
But, so, I am denied
I've already said goodbye
If ever there was time
Just to call this life mine
I couldn't face the crime
Never know what you'll find
I've already said goodbye
