As the last vestiges of Summer dies
I find myself, suddenly, come alive
Infernal suffering of blistering months
Shall wither away before my cursed eyes

I have longed for you
Mistress October
Let your ghosts on me
Mistress October

The death of sunshine
Comes the haunted moons
Bless thy lycanthropy
I beseech on my knees
Enshrined in Autumn tombs

Her clutching talons seem to warm my heart
Love springs, eternal, in the deepest dark
The forest holds sway over besmirching mouths
Calm be thy winds that carry the devil’s mark

I have killed for you
Mistress October
Bless me with thy doom
Mistress October

Your eyes of starlight
Pierces wasted flesh
Unholy comedy
Across those midnight seas
Underneath rusted mesh

Those dew scented mournings
Beckon me to awake
To rise from my chamber
Better left for the dead

I have longed for you
Mistress October
Let your ghosts on me
Mistress October

I have killed for you
Mistress October
Bless me with thy doom
Mistress October

The death of sunshine
Comes the haunted moons
Bless thy lycanthropy
I beseech on my knees
Enshrined in Autumn tombs
