Is Your Sky the Same as Mine?
I could see Perseid's tears when I looked up to cry?
Does anything look the same to you from your rocky mountain high?
A thousand miles from these eyes can you see my midnight sky?
Can you see the Moon drifting from horizon to horizon?
Do the eyes of aliens look down from within their constellation
Pondering our existence or universal creation?
But all I want to know is if you see the same sky as mine
Do you think of me in synchronous waves of parallel time
Bonding our pondering minds in unparalleled rhyme

Thanks for commenting Brenda, though the sad thing is, I have gotten so good at pretending that now even my poetry is just fantasy. There is no one to be in sync with, just me and my imaginings. So it's either pretend or go completely insane... I can't stand being alone anymore, I don't want to write poetry anymore because I hate fake, made up poems. But I can't stop writing. I tried and failed at quitting. Imagine that, I'm even a failure at quitting. The only thing I do well is pretend to be happy. As Klaatu once said, "I am the loneliest of all creatures in the universe" I am an epitaph to myself... jj

No one, just me, myself and I...
Thank you for commenting Grace!
I guess even my fake feelings translate into the language of poetry, though I feel like a criminal for doing what I hate when I read poems that are nothing more than wishful thinking... I wonder if this is how it feels to fake an orgasm?

Dear Joe, I'm a little confused. The spoken file is of you reading a poem "Tangible Dreams" (which is beautiful and full of such emotion), but the text is for "Is Your Sky the Same as Mine?". Is it me?

I must have put the wrong link on it. Doing too many things at once.
Thanks, I'll fix that right away. JJ
