I just noticed you say "Edna" rather than "Eden," so the usual rules probably don't apply, and there's no Adam involved.  Poor serpent doesn't stand a chance.

And you kept it going throughout the poem from the start to the finish
But then in the title the word "Phallus" is used which is of a sexual nature
Yet even with this masculine reference in your title
You still managed to use the word "she" to refer to poetry
Since poetry is a lover and is more than a metaphoric comparison
But is personified as a female lover or a caring friend
And at times a lustful man
I apologize for my confusion if I misinterpreted your work in some parts
I enjoyed it all the same
