Origin
Each year scenery
alters yet remains –
the flowers, still sunny
with different petals;
the birds, still yellow
with different feathers;
the bees, still striped
with different stingers:
a cyclic nature of Nature
ensures recurrence.
This repetition awakens us
To the origin of our birth.
~
Author's note: One could spend an
eternity watching birds and bees and
would not have wasted their lives.

I'd like to have a nice sit down with you and Rumi sometime. That would certainly not be a waste of time. I would consider myself in distinguished company.

I'm afraid you'd face introverted silence
unless I'd known you for some time.
You'd probably be bored after one minute.
Thank you, Daniel, for your continued support.
Happy Father's Day if your'e a daddy.

Open eyes and open minds.
Watching the circle of nature also renews our souls.
Like your poem. It is beautiful.

Interesting write, but I don't think bees get new stingers, I could definitely be wrong, I'm certainly no expert. :)

Thank you. I didn't say new - I said different, as in a different
generation. And so on...and so on.
Thank you for your time and words - appreciated.
Happy Father's Day if your'e a daddy.

Its such a beautiful and simple truth, and your sunflowers are gorgeous. I love the green with that amazing golden hue that seems everywhere. I really appreciate your nature, Ahavati, and the Author's note's the best :)

Thank you, Pisha. I started to tell you I'd photographed our sunflowers
when you responded that you hadn't seen any yet. But, I didn't want it
to seem I was marketing my poetry. I'm glad you saw them. I'd be happy
to send you a high res if you message me your email address. xo

I will admit I am not a huge fan of nature when it comes to certain aspects of it but there is no doubt I have enjoyed many hours sitting outside greeting as I watch the return of some and new arrival of others...refreshing and hopeful after the dormant stint of winter...this is a lovely write.

Captures nicely the reassurance that the cycles of Nature give us. It also challenges our linear goal-oriented cultural thinking. Thank you.
