Phoenix Starting to rise

Sometimes I wonder if it actually even started
I've been so dead inside for so long
And it's all because of you and your lies
Didnt you think they would ever take a toll on me
I ignored the things you said not letting them sink in
Instead brain tried to block the pain by shutting down
Now Letting them run through my head
Explosion of hate
Not just for you but for myself
I should have just left When things started to appear
Become emotionally detached
Until I was numb
Left me in this hollow place
But My Phoenix is starting to rise
I am Trying to better my spirit
Better my heart
Better myself
