Fear of the bomb
I'd one arm around her
and one foot
in the door of a bunker
down town Nagasaki
where we split atoms
and gave organs away
with one eye on the sky
always on the sky

I've seen some amazing and brutal footage of the conflict. figure of all the conflicts the US fought, Nam and the Pacific were probably the bloodiest

Just rip out my heart and eat it,
my throat swallow'd so hard..
lost for words yet always love
yours and leave with a little
more depth than before.

Reminds me that, we all fight the same war. Even today, I can read beauty, be beautiful, and broken at the same time.
Thanks Craic!

The sheer brevity and simplicity of this works very much in its favour. It's a thumbnail snapshot of a mind in the crowd in a historic and devastating situation. It truly creates a sense of one life among many, thereby creating compassion for the many, in the sense that we can empathise with victims of a mass event when we see them each as complex individuals. Thank you for the read. x

good tidings to you
"It's a thumbnail snapshot of a mind in the crowd in a historic and devastating situation"
..uncanny, dear fellow
appreciate your words of silliness, Sibyl and thank you for them in kisses ...lots of platonic un-gayified kisses
