The Blessed Bystander

More often than not I am completely captivated by these moments
-Brief seconds when flickers of beautiful light peirce beams of hope through a darkened place.
Moments like when you lay your head across my shoulder;
let me hold you
-Allow me to behold the universe that is you
-Allow me to simply be a blessed bystander, lucky enough to wish upon your gleaming stars.

Wrapped around my finger are tiny hands that lift a heavy heart
-yet every ounce of me has found itself wrapped around your pinky.
More often than not i am completely captivated by these moments.
Moments when an ertanally loud world rushes to complete silence,
simply to bare witness to tiny breaths breathing life to an entire universe full of endless possibilities.
