Reunion
Black feathers carried on the wind
Protocol demanding
She wonders which of us has sinned
Just as the flight is landing
Murder by the family plot
A reunion of Crows
Recalling all the battles fought
And who achieved new lows
One hopes that cooler heads prevail
Let slide the years of rage
Nerves are shot and backs are frail
Why not turn the fucking page?

High school reunion from hell. It's a drag to hang out with anyone stuck in an era, attitude or vitriol. Time to find new friends. Now family members that a different story. I take a more steer clear approach to that one. I always feel somewhat sad when I listen to the Boss sing "Glory Days." Bravo Crow! As you can tell you provoked much thought from this reader. The art work is great as well.

That's a good postcard series start. I asked another poet earlier why our supporters love us the most when we're bleeding, but with you it's either cheering for the underdog or blinking with adulation at a goddess figure... Or feeling a grimace down to the stomach like here. Your work allllways feels personal.

Hi Crowfly, your poem evokes interesting imageries. I can hear a gathering of friends and family for an event and conversations on subjects that families usually dig at. Good read as always.:)
