Image for the poem Pro Bono

Pro Bono

Forgetful of some point of pride
Slowed by the weight of years
The dash appears to have vanished
A phantom left in its wake
But she catches a fleeting glimpse
The strength of a much younger man
Some flaming sword
And unfailing libido
Now awakened with professional skill
Pro bono, it seems
With a "Relax, sugar,
This one's on me."
