Oblivion's Requiem

the SUN no longer rose from
beyond the horizon
as humid winds blew about the blackened dust
of Man's glorious yesterdays...

in this place where a compass was
of absolutely no significance
for traveling east was the same as traveling south
west no different than north..

and the rabbit would twirl about
mockingly under lazy gusts bereft of inspiration
pointing in any random direction
knowing there was no rabbit hole of discovery to be found here
no Red Pill filled with Epiphanies..

in Purgatory's Desert
where the only oasis Man can hope to sustain himself
lies within the Bosom of Deja vu
where she would sarcastically and
sadistically tell him tales only of his antiquated self..

how long did Man suckle upon her
until he heaved and regurgitated versions of himself
over and over as tiny fragments
of a never ending dream
with only two modes of motion..

rewind and repeat..

Man..stuck in his own knowledge
where his musings calcified upon manifestation
caked in a yellowish-green lime..
his FREEquency distorted
as everyone of his chakras protruded through his flesh
down along his spine
forming some twisted man-dinosaur hybrid...

...prehistoric

extinct...

in this realm of ashen clouds
and mortal dust...
where Time and Evolution rightfully abandoned
He who was destined to become a Child
of the Stars...
but preoccupied himself with
the holdings of dirt..

and so the dirt he became
as slowly he faded from redundancy
into Oblivion..
