It Is What It Will Be

Watching above seeing myself.
Clothed in a blanket of madness.
Holding myself together.
Preparing for the next wave of sadness.

Love found, a quilt of warm.
Laying in a bed of pity.
Cool to the cheek, it's quite refreshing.
Staring out a window at a despicable city.

Floating above in a cloud of discontent.
You'll never see my mind.
Luckily you're blind.
Since I'm full of graphic content.

I so hoped you were different.
A shining knight if you may.
But your regressions never recompensed.
My mind in disarray.

Looking to the sky
Yelling questions to the stars
Queries asking why.
Looking to you from afar.

Roses are red?
Violets are blue?
My head wants you dead.
But I love you.

The burdens we carry could crush the earth.
And I'm crackling like an untended hearth
