Spiritual Love

I framed the day love tossed me
and he caught me,
in a catch that could be described as
‘the smile that cracked my normalcy’.
Mind beautifully messed-up from his
moist hello.
Sand seconds, sufficient time
to steal my voice and air.
His nearness validates my inebriated- stare
I toke his blue heaven,
a high justified by his carnal smile.
He captivated the pinnacle of my
mental symphony,
intrinsically eclipsing
my hope of what it genuinely means
to be in love.
Daydreaming…. at night
with thoughts of him beneath my skin,
as if I peeled back a layer
and allowed him to climb in.
(…..and his touch?)
His touch restarts my heartbeat
when slowed with pain,
reviving its rhythm with a velocity
that would make infinity shame.
A love that tasted spiritually inspired,
as if cherubs were in attendance-
ripped love from his appendage
and made me consume it whole.
I became whole,
complete, full on him.
He’s the liquid strength
that fills my cup
and I’ve been
slowly drinking him...
steadily
