Wounded Planet (inspired by chessa's poem :here on earth)
Earth is a real sinister place
Everyone wants to have power but no one wants to have a face
To face the society they helped create
Oh what a wonderful world it would be
If this earth wasnt our reality
But it is and there is nothing we can do
They pretend we have voices
But we're nothing but functional mutes
Rendered speechless and blind
Constantly left behind
Oh how wonderful this earth could be
If the word freedom actually meant free
But repetitively we are hung from a leash
And controlled on a planet stage
By our puppeteers who filled us with fear
Which develops into rage
That over flows into wars
All because we wanted to prove
There was more in us that was stored
So we lash out at innocence all to be seen
I never would have guessed that this all could be real
Now all i can do is lay me down to sleep
And pray to God that the grim will no longer reap
But my inner child is afraid to peek
For war never seems to reach its peak
Platau and just stop
They weed out civilians like we are crops
Tear us down until there is nothing left
All we can do is lay our souls to rest
Hope that somewhere someone still keeps
The criminals and lowlifes off the street
But until then all we can do is close our eyes
Pretend to dissappear, run and hide
This world of ours wasn't meant to be
But for now this is our only reality
Everyone wants to have power but no one wants to have a face
To face the society they helped create
Oh what a wonderful world it would be
If this earth wasnt our reality
But it is and there is nothing we can do
They pretend we have voices
But we're nothing but functional mutes
Rendered speechless and blind
Constantly left behind
Oh how wonderful this earth could be
If the word freedom actually meant free
