And Winter Comes Again

I wasn't really sure what category to put this in so I just went with the easy one

Here I am in South Ontario
Watching trees that shine with color
And soon fall when wind will blow
Knowing soon the snow will fly again oh no

As the temperature will fall
The people close themselves away
In boring black and grey to warm themselves again
Never knowing how it hurts my eyes to see them hide themselves today

For so long
The sun won’t shine
The clouds of grey invade
Into your soul

Darkness in the day
It makes me cry for sunshine’s warmth again
Spring will come sometime but it’s so far away
Cold as ice the wind will blow

So here I am just wishing for the spring
Waiting for the green to come again
And colors on the folks who walk the streets
The grey and black are put away for winter’s breath again

I’ll take the rain that melts the snow away
And revel as the warmth returns to day
The winter oh so long a memory
To come again to come again

To South Ontario…
