Nature's Force
She sees the night sky in a way that I’ll just never see
And pulls me down beside her in the tall grass to tell her tales to me
She comes from magic it seems and I am bound by her spells
Her female alchemy just pulls my heart from me
I can see all that I need to see when I turn to look in her eyes
To know I’ll never need to find another dream
She is all I’ll ever need I know it deep in my heart
And I can only dream she feels the same of me
She’s one of nature’s forces set free and on the loose
A distant storm front that brings the thunder to you
A raging a firestorm that burns through distant green
A blowing vortex so large that you can feel it from a thousand miles away
She caught me at that certain time in my life
When I needed someone to believe in me
And so I lie in tall grass and listen to her soft voice
It carries me away to distant points I’ve never seen
The days and nights passed just like a dream for me
I guess I should have known that she was not to be
Just like the firestorm just burns a new space for a different tree
She left me in the night with dreams of what is meant to be
She’s one of nature’s forces set free and on the loose
A distant thunderbolt that brings the rain to you and I
A twisting fury of a tall plains tornado
A howling winter storm that blankets you in white
In the morning I felt down and out
But my dreams came back to lighten me
She showed me all I need to tread a different path
And now I’m looking out for love to come again
(once I had re read this I saw that it had a definite country feel to it, but take of it what you will)
