My backs covered � � �
not every syllable watched over � � �
but enough words ingested to satisfy my soul. � � �

A safe distance unseen
this freedom
to choose my own direction �
our interests shared � � �
happiness put first. � � �
� �
A watchful eye � � �
If I should fall, (and I do often), � � �
soft landings created � �
taking the hit on himself
if not so soft � �
my well-being paramount. � � �

This isn't what dreams may come � � �
but if it was
he would come rescue me � � �
as I would him, if roles reversed � � �

My white knight,
the protector of all I hold dear to my heart. � � �

In my corner � � �
knowing he's there � � �
makes me happy � � �

My silent bodyguard � � �
wrapping me up and carrying me away
within his invisible touch. � � �
