Burn
Every cell of my body in a fire is tremendously burning,
As your cheeks lightly red-up when I compliment you,
Oh, I love to leave your heart beating and eyes yearning,
It is a sweet revenge to see your heart and body lighting up too.
Sadly you foolishly tried to play another game,
Our set of cards couldn’t handle such treason,
And even though I can’t say that you are to blame,
You threw gasoline on my heart annihilating all my reason.
My whole corpse is set alight in the velvet night,
This fire once pleasant is now destroying me,
Only for my humble soul to escape and be,
In those poems that for you I write.
But what is a human being once his flesh turned to dust?
My love remaining but my very corpse withering,
Is that what happens when love meets the evil rust?
This whole situation is leaving me dithering,
What could we have done to prevent ourselves from hurting
And our bright and wanted future from diverting?
