- Waiting for an Angel -
Waiting for love, I do dream…
Of our future, together as one!
Whilst all the stars do gleam…
Until the dawn brings the sun!
Your words are my hope fond,
Of love at last freely spoken…
Your heart and mine together!
Take me to bliss, ever beyond,
For I give my heart as token…
Purer than a seraphim feather!
My heart beats oh so very fast…
And my breath swiftly quickens,
I feel a tingling and such energy!
More magical than any spell cast…
Fairer than any glow as brightens.
The power of love enchants me!
Love for a woman so beautiful…
And the name of my love is Ivy.
Being in love feels so wonderful,
I want to feel this way eternally.
Oh my love, soon I long to hear,
That you wish to be at my side…
Our souls forever united in bliss.
To have me hold you ever near,
When we at last, together abide.
To know the joy of love’s kiss…
And to make you happy always,
Until the very angels must sing!
To spend together, all our days,
Knowing all, that joy can bring.
The waiting seems like forever,
As my heart beats like a drum…
And, my spirit, calls your name!
Love, is like the warmest fever,
And to think all has but begun…
I am a moth; you, are the flame.
Let us be drawn together, soon,
For the night is dark and silent.
You are a light, like the moon…

Thanks! I was very inspired when I wrote this, inspired by a very, very special someone. I've been feeling like I'm on the proverbial "cloud nine" ever since she touched my heart. So glad you liked my poem for her! :)

Really nice, Jessica! I love the title, and I can see this written in fancy calligraphy, on a plaque edged by colorful flowers, to hang on a wall. <3

Thank you very much, MadameLavender. I am honored that you enjoyed my poem so much! I really wanted to convey the love I feel for this certain, special girl whom I am enchanted by, and I sort of poured all of my heart, soul, mind, and spirit into the writing of this. If I could write this upon the clouds for her, I would do so! :)
